With the end of the semester comes the culmination of a new class with new faces and new experiences. Seriously guys stop crying we’ll see each other around. But with this last post it seems appropriate to give an encapsulating post to really make us reflect. Well-done professor. So here goes nothing I suppose. This course haven’t really revolutionized my thinking about education in any way. Tis is by no fault of the system, it is just my expectation. For my learning to be the most successful it can be I need a tight, small area with personal relationships with my professor. The theory are things I actually touched on Sophomore year of high school so I was slightly familiar with them but diving in with a specific text, and specific analysis was pretty swell.
As far as my development from 15 weeks ago I feel I have improved. My writing is more cooler and smarterer than it has even been before. Something y’all made me realize was that close analysis is a very important part of writing effectively. This can even mean analyzing a specific word in comparison to when it was used in a passage (earlier versus later). Plus it adds length to assignments which obviously is critical.
With junior I.S. approaching comes a further knock on the skull that life after school is coming. This event can also be referred to as Armageddon, the Apocalypse, The Day the Earth will Stand Still, etc. And this post has provided me with the chance to sit and think, who, right off the bat is going to take my English Degree seriously? As a class, we have talked about this before. As a pursue my dreams and things like that it will be interesting how the pursuit of my career will be elevated and hindered by people who don’t understand or write off my English degree. If I fail I guess I’ll just take the easiest route to a million dollars I can think of…..Deal or No Deal, Rapper, Bank Robbery. Back up plan, set.
Thank you for the 15 weeks of knowledge and insight class. Much appreciated.
